What we do · 04
You are about to make a six-figure decision on a vendor, a market, or an offer. This is the work that answers it properly, and it is usually the first thing owners buy.
Typical briefs
Buyer landscape
Who is actually acquiring in your trades and your region, what they have bought, how they structure deals, and which of them behave well after closing.
Consolidation map
Which competitors in your market have taken capital, what that means for hiring and pricing pressure on you, and where it opens gaps worth taking.
Market and greenfield
Whether a new trade, market, or commercial line is worth entering, with the labour and permitting reality rather than the population figures.
Pricing and rate work
What the market bears by job type in your area, where your book is leaving money on the table, and where it is costing you close rate.
Vendor and software diligence
Before you sign a six-figure platform commitment. What it actually does, what the migration costs you in disruption, and what the reference calls do not tell you.
Competitor teardown
How a specific competitor generates and converts work, from the outside in, so you stop guessing why they win jobs you should have had.
The deliverable
Written so you can forward it to your CFO, your banker, or your business partner without translating it first. Every material claim is sourced. Where the evidence is thin, it says so rather than rounding up into confidence.
A stated question
Agreed in writing before we start, so we are answering the decision you actually face.
Findings and sources
Primary where it exists. Named and dated, so the brief is still auditable in a year.
A recommendation
With the case against it stated too. Research that only supports one answer is advocacy.
What would change our mind
The conditions under which the recommendation flips. This is the part that survives contact with reality.
What this is not
We will tell you how buyers in your trade tend to think about value and what they scrutinise. We will not put a number on your business, represent you in a transaction, or introduce you to buyers for a fee. Those are regulated activities and they belong with a licensed adviser and your counsel. Knowing where that line sits is part of what you are hiring.
Tell us the shop: trades, trucks, markets, and whether you are scaling, selling, or undecided. If we are not the right fit, you will hear it on the first call.
